If you’ve never been to The Big E, you’re missing out on one of New England’s best traditions. Happening September 18 - October 4, 2026 in West Springfield, Massachusetts, The Big E is the world’s only multi-state fair, celebrating all six New England states in one place. Think of it as a harvest festival, state fair, craft show, and food adventure all rolled into one—complete with parades, concerts, livestock, rides, and more fried dough than you can imagine.

Vermont Flannel has been part of The Big E for more than 20 years, and this year we're celebrating 10 years on Commonwealth Ave. You’ll find us in our beautiful post & beam barn, packed wall-to-wall with soft, American-made flannels. This year is no different—except we’ve got something extra special waiting for you.

Meet Commonwealth: A Big E Exclusive

Every year, we design a limited-release plaid just for Big E fairgoers. This year’s pattern is called Commonwealth, and it comes with a story worth telling.

Commonwealth is our way of celebrating two big milestones that landed in the same year. In 2026, we’re marking 10 years on Commonwealth Ave at The Big E. At the same time, America is celebrating its 250th anniversary, giving us the perfect excuse to make a new red, white, and blue plaid. The result is a limited-edition flannel made for the occasion—and made the Vermont Flannel way.
